Dr. Sima Heidari

Postdoctoral fellow

Working area:

Developing electrochemical energy conversion and energy storage systems

Curriculum vitae:

Sima received her MSc from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in 2012 and her PhD degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Tabriz in 2017. Her PhD thesis was about studying metalosilicate zeolite/metal oxide composites as water splitting catalysts and investigating true catalysts in water oxidizing activity of some manganese-based compounds. After completing her PhD studies, Sima was awarded a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Zurich (UZH Postdoc Forschungskredit program), where she worked on manufacturing efficient non-noble metal-based electrodes for electrochemical water oxidation, and their characterization with various techniques such as electrochemical methods, in-situ heating TEM, in-situ heating PXRD, SEM and XAS. Her current work at the Fischer group focuses on developing electrochemical energy conversion and energy storage devices.
